We all know what happened at this point. Here's the latest: sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/nfl-never-contacted-casino-to-view-ray-rice-tape--tmz-report-122256617.htmlAs TMZ says in that article, 1 of 3 possibilities: 1. The NFL is lying about not having seen the incriminating tape. 2. The NFL had not seen the incriminating tape because its investigators did not think, or know, to ask sources other than the police for a copy. 3. The NFL knew it could have checked with other sources, but chose not to do so in order to preserve plausible deniability and avoid bringing a harsher penalty down on Rice initially. Discuss.

The NFL will survive this just like they survive everything else.

The NFL will, but Goodell will be the scapegoat.

My favorite part is how he's talking about lack of evidence for himself and his crimes.
But he totally ignores how there's video evidence of the Ray Rice incident.

Ray Rice says he told Goodell he had struck his girlfriend espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/11509397/ray-rice-told-nfl-roger-goodell-june-had-hit-wifetl;dr Goodell and the NFL had maintained that they didn't know what happened in the elevator until the inside elevator video was released. Rice says he and his consul explained on 6/17 the entire incident inside the Revel elevator. *in the voice of the Emperor* Oh, I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive. We know how that went. NFL might have a truly out of control situation on their hands, thanks to their commissioner, Roger Goodell. Goodell is either an evil mastermind that only cares about making the NFL seem perfect, or he's an incompetent commissioner that grossly overreacts to certain things (illegal hits to the QB), but not others (Rice incident, other domestic violence incidents within the same year!). He's gotta go. NFL owners have to realize by now if Congress is starting to look their way, they need to get rid of this lightning rod for bad publicity.
