I know this has been discussed to death on the blog, but what are your favorite wrestling games? What do you think of current gen wrestling games? This thread is for anything about wrestling games in general.
Everyone seems to be a fan of No Mercy, but I'm a bit more partial to WCW vs. the World myself.

When I was in high school, there was a group of about seven of us that would get together for EVERY PPV (WCW, WWE, ECW) and the big game at the time was WCW/nWo Revenge and we would play the shit out of it for a couple of hours before the show started. Our favorite thing to do was Battle Royal mode set to 40 and each time someone was eliminated, another person took over the controller to use the next entrant until everyone was eliminated and that guy was the champion until the next PPV. I'm proud to say that, even at age sixteen, we had a replica WWF Championship belt that we would use for bragging rights. Dorky as hell but that year of high school provided some of the best times of my life.

Sounds like the good old days of high school to me. We never had a replica belt, but us fellas always met up to watch Nitro/Raw, the occasional ppv, and some games.

Revenge is probably my favorite wrestling game ever, just because of the sheer amount of moves you could do on that game. I think DDP had like 6 different ways to do the Diamond Cutter.

WM2000 (lag is TERRIBLE on No Mercy) Here Comes the Pain Fire Pro S (Saturn)
I'm sure if a company wanted to, they can make a PC version of one of these games, and it would spread like wildfire. Price it low, and IWC at least will probably grab it. Of course, the customization would break tons of trademarks as everybody ends up making their own entrance videos and musics, or "borrow" from WWE.
WWE could take this oppportunity to microtransaction that game, but a finished SvR or WWE 15 or whatever they are called nowadays would probably be easier and more logical for WWE.

I hate touch screen controls, but they could make some money by porting one of them to mobile devices. $3 or $4 on the App Store and Google Play.

HCTP is still my fav, probably struck the best balance of fast fun yet simmish gameplay, plus I think no game has every differentiated between tiers of quality among the roster better. If you took a 60ish guy against Brock on Superstar mode, you were either going to get your ass squashed or you had to cheese your way to victory because you damn sure couldn't trade with him.
SVR06 is also a great one thanks to being another of the best Yuke's games and GM Mode was AWESOME. WM2000 and Revenge also deserve a nomination.
