This may be a weekly thing, depending on interest and how much sport is on.
US Open Tennis Down to the semis of the men's singles, as Novak Djokovic faces Kei Nishikori and Roger Federer takes on Maran Cilic. Odds are that we get a repeat of the Wimbledon final, Cilic and Nishikori are dangerous players, but you would think big-game experience would count in the favour of Fed and the Djoker. In the women's final, top seed Serena Williams takes on the lovely Caroline Wozniacki in a match that hopefully won't be too one-sided. Serena is the heavy favourite here, however.
Fed-Ex Cup Playoffs-Golf Sergio Garcia and Ryan Palmer lead the way at the halfway point in Colorado in the penultimate event in the $10 million dollar series that concludes next week. Rory McIlroy is as big a favourite to win as you can get in golf, but can he hold off a strong US challenge from the likes of Bubba Watson and Jordan Speith, or will the nearly man Garcia finally come up with the goods?
Formula One-Italian GP The animosity between Mercedes team-mates Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg has hit boiling point after their collision two weeks ago, who knows what will happen this time? A Merecedes driver will win this race, unless they knock each other off again and the nearest challenger (usually Red Bull's Danny Ricciardo) takes advantage.
International Football No Premier League or any league football/soccer due to internationals. England face a tough trip to Switzerland on Monday, while an improving Scottish team takes on the World Champions Germany. Northern Ireland play Hungary, and the Republic of Ireland face Georgia. Wales play the minnows of Andorra.

US Open Tennis Wow. Didn't see that coming. Kei Nishikori beats Novak Djokovic in 4 sets to reach his first Grand Slam final. Roger Federer currently 2 sets to 0 down against Maran Cilic.
Formula 1 Lewis Hamilton takes a comfortable pole position in Italian GP qualifying, with his Mercedes team-mate and rival Nico Rosberg in 2nd.

SUNDAY UPDATE:
US Open Tennis A shocking day yesterday, as Kei Nishikori and Marin Cilic defeated their higher ranked opponents Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer respectively. Caroline Wozniacki faces top seed Serena Williams in the Women's Final tonight.
Golf:Fed-Ex Cup Playoffs Billy Horschel takes a three-shot lead going into the final round ahead of Ryan Palmer. Pre-tournament favourite Rory McIlroy is off the pace after an awful three-putt from just a few yards on the 12th hole.
Cricket: International Twenty20s England Ladies take on South Africa in the third game of their series (England lead 2-0) , while England's men face India in the first and only game. After England won the test match series 3-1, and the Indians won the one-day series 3-1, this is the rubber match.

Lots of FIBA action tonight, Turkey vs Australia should be a ripper, I think it's like 2pm for the US East Coast or whatever, go Boomers!
Formula One on shortly, expect Hamilton to win this one, Mercedes have the advantage in straight line top speed and he really outclassed Rosberg in qualifying, due for a win. Massa is my smokey, but come on Riccardo!

Formula 1
Lewis Hamilton wins the Italian GP, with Nico Rosberg 2nd and Felipe Massa 3rd.
Hamilton recovered from a terrible start to make his way up to second, behind Rosberg. Nico then missed a chicane at the first corner, going off the track, allowing Lewis to overtake for the lead, which he wouldn't relinquish.
Standings: Rosberg 238pts Hamilton 216pts Ricciardo 166pts Bottas 122pts Vettel 106pts
Cricket
A great day for England, as the ladies team beat South Africa to seal a 3-0 series win, followed by an incredibly tense and exciting match where England defeated India by just 3 runs. England's star player was the Captain, Eoin Morgan, who hit an incredible 71 off just 31 balls. The Indians came close, but left themselves too much to do (17 off the final over) and England scraped home.

I watched the GP earlier, nice comeback drive from Lewis. Ricciardo's pass on Vettel into the first chicane was one of the best of the season.

US Open Tennis
Serena Williams beat Caroline Wozniacki to win the Women's Title 6-3 6-3. This is Williams' 18th Grand Slam win. Wozzy put up a decent fight, but unfortunately Williams' power saw her through.
Kei Nishikori plays Maran Cilic in the Men's Final, which is a match NO ONE saw coming. Really difficult to pick a winner here, although if Cilic serves as well as he did against Federer, he may have the slight edge.
Fed-Ex Cup Playoffs - Golf
Billy Horschel lead the whole way through Round 4 to win the BMW Championship. Now the top 30 players in the standings go to Atlanta on Thursday to play for the $10 million prize.
International Football/Soccer
Germany 2-1 Scotland Hungary 1-2 Northern Ireland Georgia 1-2 Rep Of Ireland Portugal 0-1 Albania (Shows what a one-man team Portugal are without Ronaldo)
England play Switzerland in Basel tonight.

International Football
Switzerland 0 England 2 (Welbeck 2)
Great win for England tonight, a very good performance from Roy Hodgson's team, with the slight change in formation suiting them well. England made a mockery of the world rankings (Switzerland are 9th, England 20th). Joe Hart in England's goal had to make a couple of good saves, but England wasted several chances themselves before Welbeck's double.

I just can't get invested in England any more. It's not just the poor results/performances, it's the fact that the FA refuses to do anything to even try and address it at a grass roots level even though the evidence is there with Spain and Germany that actually putting some kind of concerted effort into improving works. I'll still watch the games when they're on, and I still want them to do well, but if they don't give a shit, why should I?
ps. FIFA rankings lol.
