I'm posting this message from a Youtuber who lost his account in 2020 (because Youtube are runned by assholes) on the off chance anybody who loves RPG's and Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior will agree to this challenge. Good luck to anybody who attempts this.
Hello. I thank thee for taking the time to listen to this request for a playthrough of Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS. There are specific requirements I want for this playthrough.
1. Don't skip through the dialogue. Wait a few seconds before going to the next text.
2. When prompted with a Yes or No choice, always choose yes. 99% of the time, choosing no does nothing but waste time.
3. You don't need to talk to every NPC you see on screen. In fact, it would be a little faster if you can avoid talking to the optional ones.
4. Use a save emulator if you must, but make sure you do not record footage of the party dying. That just wastes more time when it is completely unnecessary.
5. Don't rush through. In fact, don't record your first playthrough. Try going through a segment without saving until you master the segment, then reload the save file and record it with the knowledge you gained with it.
6. Grind, grind, grind. Always make sure the party is at a high level before doing a mission.
7. You can skip recording grind sessions if you want, but make sure you save the game before the grind session, then save immediately after the grind session is over, and then you can resume recording from the save point.
8. No annotations/watermarks/off-topic "comedy" routines/pop-up messages during the video. I hate those. At least Youtube gave you the option to turn them off. If you want annotations, then start a movement to get Youtube to bring it back.
9. The cast. This one is very important, so pay attention. I've always wanted to see a cast of characters/people recreated in a game like this, and now is that perfect opportunity. Here's who will be fighting Corvus and his goons (complete with links to pictures of them):
Laura Branigan - Pop/Rock singer

NOTE: The team leader/main party member.

NOTE: Hated the gray haired look and outfit of Revelator
Silene Rambert from Fighters Impact

Make sure the girls look EXACTLY (at least in a Toriyama way) like they do in these pics. Also, make sure they wear the outfits in these pics IF the clothes are in the game at some point, so dress them in whatever fancies you until those outfits become available if possible.
10. The job classes. Another important one. This is my personal preference for each of the girls at the start of the game, and in the finale with the second set. If you need to have the girls use other job classes for other skills, feel free to do so. Just make sure the girls start with the job classes on the left and finish with the ones on the right. Choose whatever you want "in-between".
Laura: Minstrel and Paladin
Elphelt: Mage and Armamentalist
Silene: Martial Artist and Gladiator
Leni: Priest and Sage
When it comes to weapons, use whatever works best for you.
11. Finally, I'd prefer you hold off on the side quests (unless it helps to make the game easier) until after you've defeated Corvus, ending and all. Then you can do videos focusing on all the side quests/legacy bosses etc. after that.
And I thank you for not being one of those types that talks during the videos. I really hate those.
If I could do this myself, then I wouldn't be asking in the first place. Something that those simpletons at World of Longplays failed to understand.
I know you have your plate full right now, but I'm a patient type. Just try to remember to come back and finish my request later. I wish you the best of luck. I've waited a long time to see my favorite characters and people in an RPG like this, and I know you are one of the best in gaming today.
